Hannah Brekke
Law Clerk
Hannah supports FDA-regulated businesses on regulatory, promotional, and commercial matters. As a law clerk at Gardner Law, she works with the firm's attorneys on FDA regulatory matters and submissions, advertising and promotional review, and commercial and payer agreements.
Hannah's experience spans state government, the payer industry, and federal consulting. She worked on health plan regulation at the Minnesota Department of Health, analyzed Medicare claims and healthcare costs at UnitedHealth Group, and led regulatory compliance work for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services at Booz Allen Hamilton. That experience informs how she approaches FDA and healthcare questions, with attention to how regulators and payers evaluate data, cost, and risk.
She works alongside attorneys and client teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance and is comfortable explaining complex financial and regulatory issues to business audiences.
During law school, Hannah interned with the in-house legal team at Children's Minnesota, supporting pediatric regulatory, contracting, and risk management matters. Her public health training shapes how she thinks about patients, access, and the real-world effects of regulatory decisions.

Personal
Hannah enjoys spending time outdoors, ideally in the woods. She spends the warmer months running and native gardening, and the long Minnesota winters cross-country skiing and skijoring. She is also an avid reader of historical fiction. She and her dog are a certified pet therapy team and have volunteered for six years, mostly at Children's Minnesota, bringing comfort to patients and families.
